Aptech, Rediff organise ‘Brainbuster’ quiz contest

Aptech Computer Education, the flagship brand of Aptech Limited and Rediff.com, organised an exclusive contest, the ‘Brainbuster Quiz Contest’, which concluded with the mega finals in Mumbai.

Elaborating on the finals Kishansinh Gohil, senior vice president and divisional head, Aptech Computer Education said, “The contest was an attempt to showcase school talent from across India. Aptech Computer Education which has been at the forefront in introducing new skills and learning techniques organised this quiz as an ideal opportunity to further strengthen our skills towards this end.”

The finals witnessed a close fight between top teams drawn from across the country. The event hosted by Roshan Abbas, offered an insight into the immensely talented younger generation of India. Somnath Ghosh, a chemical engineer employed at Fertilizer Corporation Delhi and Basab Bhattacharya, an MBA working with The Economist Intelligence Unit, Delhi representing the North Zone were the final winners. The winners were awarded a personal computer each. The closely fought contest saw the team from South Zone coming in second, while the West Zone had to be content with the third spot.

The contest covered 300 cities and drew overwhelming responses from across India. Targeting student talent across the country the exercise was aimed at tapping Rediff’s large student user-community.
