Red Hat announced the appointment of Amit Bhoraskar as channels manager, India. In his new role, Amit Bhoraskar will spearhead the management, reinforcement and expansion of channels partners and OEM relationships for Red Hat across India. “We’re very happy to have him onboard,” says Javed Tapia, director, Red Hat India. Amit Bhoraskar brings with him years of hands-on experience in sales and distribution of software products, services and support in the Indian market. He has an impressive record of managing distribution channels for various leading software product lines.

iSmart International has appointed Sanjay Dharwadkar as general manager in-charge of the company’s operations in Delhi. He will be responsible for marketing in northern India. He will report to George White, CEO, iSmart International. Dharwadkar comes to iSmart after having completed a successful tenure with one of India’s pioneering smart card companies, Smart Chip. After completing post-graduation from BITS Pilani in 1979, Dharwadkar had a brief stint with the Shriram Group. Later, he set up online consultancy services for systems and software development.
