The
Academy of Digital Arts and Communications (ADAC) was set up in
1999 as a training division of Killick Challenger Technologies Limited
(KCTL), a subsidiary of Killick Nixon, a 144-year multi business
corporation. The academy is one of the few imparting training in
high-end graphics and animation platforms like Maya and 3D Studio
Max.
KCTL
currently houses ADAC and ADAC Studio. The studio is engaged in
many R&D activities to produce more specialised courses and
in-depth curriculum. As Vibha Khandelwal, joint managing director,
KCTL, puts it, It is a necessary phase in the development
of ADAC Training Tools, one that will continue until someday real
and virtual images may be truly indistinguishable. Also, we lay
a lot of emphasis on our students projects and the time frame
the projects are created in. We develop our own ADAC training tool
software with a protective dongle to ensure quality training in
all centres across the country.
Khandelwal
adds, In the West animation and special effects have become
a generic name in advertising and films. India is catching up with
it and exploring new heights. Its all a matter of time and
the entertainment industry will undergo a new change and technology
will create worlds that will go infinity and beyond. ADAC
has also tied up with a Mumbai-based advertising and PR firm, in
view of the growing demand for skilled professionals in media and
advertising. It has diversified activities to offer participants
courses in all major areas of advertising communications. Every
year ADAC Young Scholars Programme conducts tests and awards scholarships
to deserving candidates.
