NIIT training for Windows 2003

NIIT launched a training programme on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 software, the day the software was launched. NIIT aims to train more than 5,000 IT professionals and over 10,000 students in the next few months.

Rajendra Pawar, the chairman of NIIT said, “By coinciding the launch of Win ‘03 training with the worldwide launch of the software, we are keeping our tradition to offer training on the freshest technologies first. Our association with Microsoft over the years has helped us understand Microsoft technologies and platforms better. This in turn has enabled us to develop the right training solutions and skilled manpower on a real-time basis.”

Speaking on NIIT’s training initiative, Rajiv Kaul, the managing director of Microsoft Corporation India said, “NIIT has been a trusted training partner since the early days, and has seen our product line evolve over the years. We are confident that NIIT will help bridge the skills gap, and cement the success of Windows Server 2003.”

NIIT’s new introductory programme for Windows 2003 Server is an eight-hour programme, including four hours of interactive classroom learning covering key concepts and features, using a case study approach. The balance time will be spent in a convenient e-learning mode using NIIT’s digital content and services from Netvarsity.com. This programme will be available at a special launch fee of Rs 595, at NIIT centres, across the country.

NIIT has been consistently bagging Microsoft’s Best Training Partner Award. It was recently awarded Microsoft’s CTEC Solutions Award for preparing quality software manpower, for the fourth consecutive year.

Microsoft Corporation, USA is a major customer of NIIT’s Knowledge Solutions Business. NIIT has developed over a 1,000 hours of learning content for Microsoft, covering various curricula, including .Net, XML, e-Commerce, Windows XP and Visual Studio, etc, enabling Cer-tified Technical Education Cent-res worldwide to train their students through learning material on Microsoft technologies.
