Red
Hat India has recently appointed Srinivas Garimella as its
senior enterprise sales manager in Delhi. Srinivas will report to
Sachin Dabir, head of enterprise sales at Red Hat India. He will
be responsible for evangelising open-source technologies and building
new relationships with clients and partners. He will also ensure
support to Red Hats clients and partners in North India. Srinivas
has an experience of nine years in sales and marketing of IT. He
has spent more than eight years with Aptech and Hexaware and around
seven years managing business entities independently. Prior to joining
Red Hat, Srinivas was the head of enterprise solutions sales with
Hexaware in New Delhi. Srinivas also headed the software group at
Aptech for a period of one year. Srinivas was involved in providing
solutions to clients on business intelligence, online analytical
processing and data warehousing, workflow automation, client-server,
three-tier architecture, EAI, mailing, messaging, database management
and implementation services. Srinivas holds an MBA in marketing
from Andhra University.
Electronics
Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) has appointed GP Srivastava
as the new chairman and managing director (CMD). He has taken over
as CMD from V H Ron. Srivastava will be responsible for managing
and leading ECILs consistent growth path, technology leadership
and infrastructure building for the nation. He joins ECIL after
33 years of experience with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC).
His earlier assignment was as head of control and instrumentation
at BARC in Mumbai. Srivastava is a postgraduate in Electronics and
Radio Engineering from the University of Allahabad. He brings with
him rich experience in computer-based control systems, reactivity
control mechanisms for light water reactors and pressurised heavy
water reactors, antenna control systems for Giant Metre Radio Telescope
(GMRT), etc. A veteran in his field, Srivastava is a fellow of the
National Academy of Engineering in the Electronics and Communications
discipline and is a recipient of the Vasik Award 1998, in Electrical
Sciences and Technology.
Jessie Paul has joined Quintant Corporation, a Business Services
Provisioning (BSP) firm, as its global marketing head. Paul will
be based out of Bangalore. Welcoming Paul, Tiger Ramesh, president
and member of the Board of Quintant said, We are excited to
have Jessie Paul as part of the management team. Jessie has a proven
track record of building and managing global brands. Quintant will
tremendously benefit from her expertise in our exercise of building
the brand for the first BSP with a global delivery model.
At Quintant, Paul will be responsible for building awareness for
the BSP concept, popularising this internationally and managing
all aspects of the Quintant brand. Paul joins Quintant from Infosys
where she was global brand manager. She has considerable expertise
in brand globalisation and was part of the core team that set up
the marketing department at Infosys. Her efforts in this area earned
her the Chairmans Award in 1998. Paul anchored the Wharton
Infosys Business Transfor-mation Award with the Wharton School,
which contributed toward building the Infosys brand globally.
